Worcester, UK, 24 May 2021: The UK Cyber Security Association is pleased to announce a new partnership with CAPSLOCK as they expand their presence into the UK cyber security marketplace.

For those looking to reskill into a new career sector, cyber security is an attractive option. With a new reliance on technology in all aspects of life, this means that a huge number of new technology-focused jobs are constantly emerging. Cyber security is a growing market, and it is estimated that the cyber industry will need an additional 3.5 million qualified professionals by 2023.

CAPSLOCK is a government-backed educational organisation, designed to re-skill adult learners and kick-start their cyber security careers in as little as 4 months. They provide cyber re-training education, delivered live online by industry professionals, via a curriculum built around in-demand job roles and employer needs. Their model utilises Income Share Agreements, meaning there are no upfront costs for learners, who don’t pay for the course until they land a high-paying job.

With skills, education and training in cyber security being firmly on the agenda for the work that the UK Cyber Association is doing, partnering with CAPSLOCK to help individuals transition into a career in cyber security was a natural choice.

Speaking of the partnership, Lisa Ventura, CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association said: “We are delighted to partner with CAPSLOCK as one of our recommended suppliers for cyber security training courses. We will be launching a programme of joint activities in the coming months such as webinars and events to showcase the strong expertise that CAPSLOCK has in this area, and with skills, training and education in cyber security very high on the agenda for the UK Cyber Security Association, this was a very natural partnership that aligns with the core values of the UK Cyber Security Association perfectly.”

Dr. Andrea Cullen, Co-founder of CAPSLOCK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the UK Cyber Security Association. They share our beliefs and values about bringing more diversity in cyber by removing barriers, and by re-skilling more people into this dynamic industry. Our cyber security retraining bootcamps are helping people to kickstart their careers in cyber, and we are thrilled to have the support of the UK Cyber Security Association on this journey.”

Notes for Editors

  1. About the UK Cyber Security Association (UKCSA)
The UK Cyber Security Association (UKCSA) is a membership organisation for individuals, small businesses, SME’s and corporate companies who are involved in or who work in the cyber security industry in the UK. Members receive a wide range of benefits including access to the latest cyber security industry news, discounts on courses, seminars, networking events, conferences and items such as insurance and penetration testing, access to a directory of members and much more. The UKCSA also lobbies and campaigns heavily for businesses of all sizes to take the growing cyber security threat more seriously.

  2. About CAPSLOCK

CAPSLOCK is a government backed, CIISec accredited educational organisation that delivers cyber security bootcamps online. They help adults fully re-skill to become qualified cyber professionals in as little as four months, via a rigorous curriculum built in collaboration with some of the UK’s largest cyber employers. Crucially, there are no up-front costs for learners. Instead, CAPSLOCK is the UK’s largest provider of Income Share Agreements, meaning learners repay a percentage of their monthly income only once they have graduated from the course, are employed, and are earning over £27,000 annually. This removes the traditional financial barriers to education which often prevent people from re-skilling.
